Annual Giving Campaign Begins On January 29th

Date: Jan 29, 2012

St. Joseph Catholic Academy's Annual Giving Campaign kicks off with presentations at Masses at both St. Joseph and Sacred Heart Catholic Churches on Sunday, January 29th.  The theme this year is "Proud of our History, Passionate about our Future".  The SJCA community is grateful for the fresh start that was celebrated by becoming Springfield's only Parish school.  With the support of parents, parishioners, alumni, family and friends, not only did we succeed in keeping our doors open, we were able to grow in student population by 15%.

Please consider being apart of this year's Annual Giving Campaign.  Just asevery student counts, every dollar counts.  Regardless of the amount you are able to contribute, the gesture speaks volumes about your resolve to see our students grow and succeed.

Thank you again for your continued support and prayers.

Car Line Guidelines

Date: Dec 01, 2011

For the safety of our students and to help our afternoon carline run efficiently we have developed  the following guidelines:

Please stay in your car.  Our teachers will walk the younger students to your car-- the older students should be watching for your car.  We try to load 4- 5 cars at a time, so please be patient.

If your child needs help with a carseat we ask that you move around to a parking space so that you can park and take the time that you need to make sure that your child is safely seated.

Please do not drive out of the carline, be patient and wait to move when the cars ahead of you move.

We would prefer that you pick your child up in the carline.  Walking around our carline is not safe.  If you must walk around to pick up you child we ask that you be sure and park your car in a marked parking space.  It is unsafe to leave your car unattended.  And  if you are not parked legally you risk keeping someone from leaving because you have blocked their passageway.

We know it is fun to have your family pet along for the ride, but we have students that are allergic to animals and some students are afraid of animals and for these reasons we ask that you keep pets contained to your vehicle.
Carline is not an appropriate time to visit with  teachers.  If you need to have a conversation with a teacher please make arrangements for a different time and location.

Please share this information with anyone who is picking up your children -- our goal is for safety and efficiency with safety as our top priority.

If we all work together and follow these guidelines then it should only take about 10 - 15 minutes to get all of our students safely loaded into their cars.  Please talk to Mrs. Batson if you have an another  idea that might help our carline run smoother.  We are always open to new ideas!
