What grades do you offer?
St. Joseph Catholic Academy offers all day Preschool through 8th grade.

St. Joseph Catholic Academy offers a 3 & 4 year-old Montessori program under the direction of a certified Montessori Instructor.

St. Joseph Catholic Academy enrollment is 120 students. Current homeroom student to teacher ratio is 20 to 1. Additional staff includes Vocal Music, Band, Spanish, Technology, and PE instructors. Aides assist in classrooms.

St. Joseph Catholic Academy offers instruction the following curriculum areas: Religion, Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, P.E., Art, Vocal Music, Band (grades 5-8), Spanish (grades K - 8), and Family Life. In addition Technology is integrated throughout the curriculum.

Yes, St. Joseph Catholic Academy Cafeteria provides a lunch program and a daily breakfast program. Both programs are part of the Federal School Lunch Program. Families may apply for free or reduced lunches and breakfasts.

Office hours - 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
Building is Open - 7:30 AM Students gather in cafeteria
8:00 students go to classrooms.
Classes are held - 8:15 AM - 3:15 PM.
All students are expected to be picked up between 3:15 and 3:30 p.m.
Do you have an after-school program?
St. Joseph Catholic Academy offers After School Care for preschool through grade 6 from 3:15 to 6:00 p.m. A program for older students is provided by the Springfield Family Y (6th – 8th grade students) from 3:15 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. – transportation to the downtown Y is provided. At this time no morning program is offered.
back to topHow does St. Joseph utilize technology?
St. Joseph Catholic Academy has a computer lab available to all students with teachers instructing using a variety of software. All computers in the lab have access to the internet. Grades 4 through 8 receive instruction in keyboarding and in other applications. In addition classrooms with space are equipped with student computers, with at least one having access to the internet. Smart boards and projectors are installed in classrooms. St. Joseph School licenses its computers through Microsoft and updates software as new versions are available.

St Joseph Catholic Academy offers a tiered tuition based on level of income and family expenses. There is a required Facts Tuition Application Form which determines which tier a family falls into.
